These four “Tennis Domes” were engineered and erected by ASATI CEO Donato Fraioli in 1979. Many indoor clubs were constructed after Mr. Fraioli introduced the first-of-its-kind “Tennis Domes” in 1962. ASATI domed hundreds of tennis courts worldwide following these revolutionary “Tennis Domes”

These “first of-its-kind “Tennis Dome” structures, were heated and inflated with HVAC units developed by Mr. Fraioli. These first-of-its-kind heater inflation units were indirect fired fully recirculation units that inflated and heated the structure with forced hot air with automatic controls for maintaining a controlled temperature of 65 deg. These structures were equipped with automatic starting back-up blowers that turned on in event of a power failure. The first 1000 watt metal halide lighting fixtures mounted on collapsible poles, and the first unique pressure balanced emergency exit doors Mr. Fraioli patented.

Mr. Fraioli, with NYC building code authorities, developed the first codes for air supported structures as written in the NYC code #718 for Air Supported Structures. ASATI  exceeds these early code standards.
