EAST RIVER RACQUET CLUB- 17 INDOOR TENNIS COURTS

FACILITY SPECIFICATIONS

These four “Tennis Domes” were engineered and erected by ASATI CEO Donato Fraioli in 1979. Many indoor clubs were constructed after Mr. Fraioli introduced the first-of-its-kind “Tennis Domes” in 1962. A few of the pioneering tennis clubs which Mr. Fraioli engineered, manufactured and installed prior this famous East River Racquet club are:

Tennis Anyone in Westbury, NY (1963)

Sterling Tennis Club in Corona, NY (1965)

Boulevard Gardens in Queens, NY (1966)

West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, NY (1969)

Columbia University in Bronx NY (1969)

Stadium Tennis in Bronx, NY (1969)

Wall Street Racquet Club in NYC (1970)

The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado (1973)

The Snow Mass Country Club in Colorado (1976)

ASATI domed hundreds of tennis courts worldwide following these revolutionary “Tennis Domes”

These “first of-its-kind “Tennis Dome” structures, were heated and inflated with HVAC units developed by Mr. Fraioli. These first-of-its-kind heater inflation units were indirect fired fully recirculation units that inflated and heated the structure with forced hot air with automatic controls for maintaining a controlled temperature of 65 deg. These structures were equipped with automatic starting back-up blowers that turned on in event of a power failure. The first 1000 watt metal halide lighting fixtures mounted on collapsible poles, and the first unique pressure balanced emergency exit doors Mr. Fraioli patented.
